Alta Z. Musser, 85years, 3 months, 26 days, of rural Memphis, Missouri, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Bearville, Pennsylvania, on January 12, 1940, the daughter of Ezra S. and Anna B. Zimmerman Martin.
On January 30, 1960, in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, Alta married Alvin K. Musser. They moved to Missouri in 1974 to raise their family.
They were members of the Indian Creek Mennonite Church, south of Memphis, Missouri.
Alta is survived by her husband, Alvin Musser of rural Memphis, Missouri; eight children, Joyce (John) Good of Knox City, Missouri, Lorraine (Edwin) Fox of Memphis, Missouri, Janet (Allen) Fox of Memphis, Missouri, Anna Mae (Ivan) Good of Rutledge, Missouri, Lucile (Stanley) Zimmerman of Cantril, Iowa, Miriam (Luke) Fox of Memphis, Missouri, Alvin (Loretta) Musser of Memphis, Missouri, and Leonard (Kathy) Musser of Memphis, Missouri; a brother, Willis (Alta) Martin of Lebanon, Pennsylvania; a sister-in -law, Anna Martin of Lebanon, Pennsylvania; forty-nine grandchildren; 113 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Anna Martin; four brothers, Lester (Lena) Martin, Ezra (Alta) Martin, James (Edna) Martin, and Hershey Martin; five sisters, Ruth (Melvin) Brubaker, Anna Mary (Lloyd) Burkholder, Eva (Howard) Brubaker, Nora (John) Martin, and Edna (Barton) Sensenig; and a great grandson, Sean Amos Good.
Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Indian Creek Mennonite Church, south of Memphis, Missouri.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri.
Burial will be in the Indian Creek Mennonite Cemetery, south of Memphis, Missouri.
Clergy will be Abner Oberholtzer, Talmon Martin, Richard Zimmerman, Carl Hoover, and Lester Martin. Casket Bearers will be Lance Musser, Tyler Musser, Loren Fox, Stan Lee Zimmerman, Jody Good, and Wilson Fox.
Alta's family request only your presence and prayers.
