Obituary

Anna Belle Brookhart 90 of Lompoc California and formerly of Memphis Missouri passed ay peacefully Tuesday April 20 2010 at the Comprehensive Care Center in Lompoc.She was born March 3 1920 to Wyatt and Iva Lipper Watson in Wyaconda Missouri. She lived her childhood days near Granger and Kahoka Missouri graduating from Kahoka High School in 1938. In l956 she graduated from the Burlington Iowa Beauty Academy. .She married Harry Broomhall in 1938. To this union one son Harry Laird was born. They later divorced. She married Clare Brookhart in 1946 and to this union a daughter Gail Lorene was born.Anna Belle was owner and operator of a beauty shop in Downing Missouri for seven years in Arbela Missouri twenty-three years and in Memphis Missouri for twelve years. In 1997 she was forced to close her shop because of health reasons. Due to further declining health she moved to Lompoc California in 2004 to be with her daughter and son-in-law.She was a member of the First Christian Church of Lompoc California and a former member at Memphis Missouri and Downing Missouri.She is survived by a daughter Gail Decker and a son-in-law Merle Decker of Lompoc California a sister Lenna Jansen of Kahoka Missouri five grandchildren: Terri Phillips and her husband Mike of Cameron Missouri Rick Broomhall and his friend Twila of Queen City Missouri Brian Decker and Angela Decker both of Lompoc California and Christy Decker of San Diego California. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents her husband Clare Brookhart her son Laird Broomhall a daughter-in-law Gwendolyn Broomhall a grandson Jason Broomhall a sister Sylvia Huett and two brothers-in-law.Per her wishes cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be held June 12 2010 at 2 P.M. at Memphis Funeral Home Memphis Missouri with Brother Jack Sumption officiating. Inurnment will follow in Granger Cemetery in rural Scotland County Missouri.
