Obituary

Betty Josephine Rupley, 89, passed away at Aspire Nursing Home in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.

Betty was born July 5, 1933 in Winnigan, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Francis Taylor and Thelma Agnes Pipes Taylor.

Betty was united in marriage to Arthur Lester Rupley on October 18, 1952.

Betty is survived by her four children Victoria "Vicky" Rupley of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Robert and his wife Brenda Rupley of Knox City, Missouri, Michael and his wife Paula Rupley of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Valerie McGinnis of Plattsburg, Missouri; six grandchildren, Amber and Dave Hotchkiss, Toni and Jeremy Bubp, Cassandra Rupley, Robert and Kara Rupley, Michael and Jen Rupley, Andrea and Chris Andreson; fourteen great grandchildren, Benjamin and Heidi Hotchkiss, Adrianna and Jordan Chen, Braxton Bubp, Taylor Stewart, Abigail Stewart, Michael Quigley, Marshall and Caroline Rupley, Tyler, Austin and Logan Rupley, Liberty and Connal Andreson; one brother, Glenn Taylor; and one sister, LaDonna Taylor.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur on June 13, 2006, a son-in-law, John McGinnis; two sisters, Barbara Spurgeon and Edith "Teed" Willot; three brothers, Bobbie, Darrell Gene, Kenny Taylor.

Betty was a housewife and homemaker most of her life and she loved to play cards, trips to the casino and shopping.

Betty's wishes were to be cremated and a private service held at a later date.
