Noble William "Bill" Mann, 94, of rural Newark, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at South Hampton Place in Columbia, Missouri.

Bill was born on June 21, 1930, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Noble Eldon and Imogene G. Leinweber Mann.

After graduating High School, with the class of 1948, in San Jose, Illinois Bill joined the United States Army and honorably served his country for 18 months under a special military program for 18 year olds.

After serving his country, Bill continued his education at the Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois earning a teaching degree in Agriculture. While in college he met Ruth Ann Edmundson. They were married November 27, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. To this union four children were born.

In 1955 they moved to Los Angeles, California where he taught high school classes in Agriculture. After teaching for a few years the love of farming brought them back to a farm in Newark, Missouri where he lived out his life.

Bill is survived by his children, Gary Alan Mann of Wyoming, Lori Sue Mann of Humble, Texas, and Barbara Jean Tusa of Richmond, Texas; one brother, Fred L. and Mila Mann of California, and a sister, Imogene Gail Forrest of Columbia, Missouri; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Imogene Mann; wife, Ruth Ann Mann; a daughter, Cheryl Lynn McKenzie; a son-in-law, Ed Tusa; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted and Bonnie Mann, and Daniel E. and Flo Mann; a brother-in-law Warren Forrest.

Bill's wishes were to be cremated and his family will celebrate his life at a private family service at a later date.
