Bonnie Doris Clyman, 94, of Bloomfield, Iowa, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020, at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa.
She was born on May 29, 1926, in Danville, Iowa; the daughter of Willie and Mary Wilamena Nielsen Kelley.
Bonnie received her education in Danville, Iowa and graduated in the Class of 1943 from Danville High School.
On June 30, 1945, at the Congregational Church in Danville, Iowa, Bonnie married Neal Verdun Clyman, and they celebrated forty years together.
She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church, PEO, life member of the Reed Whistler Post #78 American Legion Auxiliary, fifty year member of the Friendship Chapter Order of Eastern Star serving as Past Matrons, Davis County Hospital Auxiliary, ex-prisoner of War Life Member, Davis County Fine Arts Council, and the Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Ottumwa, Iowa.
Bonnie is survived by seven grandchildren: Scott and Kari Clyman, Monica and Dave Augspurger, Melissa and Scott Reents, Cody and Megan Clyman, Kristi and Spencer Goodson, Jamie Cole and Chris Morton and Boyd and Lori Forsythe; a son-in-law, Nolan and Linda Forsythe; eighteen great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neal in 1985; daughter, Kay Forsythe; sons Kelley Royce Clyman and Carlos Clyman and wife,Susie; sisters: Frances Brueck, Dolly Phebus, Mary Lou Stufflebeam, Ruth Soergel, Wilma Kuhns, and Wanda Magel; brothers, Dale, Jim, Dan, Marvin and Robert Kelley.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020, at the Bloomfield Christian Church; Pastors Leslie Dotson and Jim Wakelin will officiate.
Visitation will be after 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. PEO service will be at 1:50p.m..
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Bloomfield, Iowa with Eastern Star Service at the graveside.
An expression of sympathy, in memory of Bonnie Clyman, may be made to the Bloomfield Christian Church or the Davis County Fine Arts Council and left at the church or mailed to the Memphis Funeral Home 378 S. Market Street, Memphis, Missouri 63555.
