Bruce Roy Vaughn, Sr., 48, of Arbela, Missouri, died Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

He was born November 16, 1967, to Robert Aldean and Mary Elizabeth Carbaugh Vaughn at Baltimore, Maryland.

He was a 1986 graduate of Catoctin High School, Hagerstown, Maryland and received an Associate Degree in Business Management. He served in the U. S. Army with the 115 th Infantry at the end of Desert Storm.

He married Latrisha Mary Shannan on February 8, 2002, at Memphis, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Bruce was a mechanic. He also loved fishing, building things, writing poems and short stories and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. Bruce realized his greatest joy when spending time with his children and a special niece, Anissa Yerhart.

He is survived by his wife, Latrisha, of the home; his children: Tyler Vaughn, Cordell Vaughn, Linda Vaughn, Tamara Vaughn and Mariah Vaughn; a brother, Robert Vaughn and his spouse, Perry Williams, of Thurmont, Maryland; a half-sister, Linda Schultz, of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Tiffany Yerhart, whom he considered as a sister and caregiver; his step-mother, Sarah Vaughn, of Thurmont, Maryland; two step sisters: Donna Wiltrout and Sheryl Hahan, both of Thurmont, Maryland; two step brothers: Franklin Hahan of Littlestown, Pennsylvania and Brian Robertson of Middletown, Maryland and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bruce Roy Vaughn, Jr., in infancy.
