As per Darlene's wishes a cremation and no service or visitation will be held at this time. A private Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Darlene Dannenhauer, 75, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014, at her home near Bible Grove, Missouri surrounded by her family. She was born June 12, 1939, at Greensburg, Missouri, to Joseph H. and Kathryn Louise Stone Grosenkemper. Darlene graduated from Memphis High School, Class of 1957. She was married to Jack N. Dannenhauer on February 3, 1957, at the Baptist Church in Memphis, Missouri and to this union five children were born: Dana, Danette, Adam, Aaron and Becca. Jack and Darlene purchased Hopkins Lumber Company in January, 1972, and have owned and operated the business since. Darlene enjoyed canning and was happiest when spending time with her family and cooking family dinners. She enjoyed going to their cabin, Whipporwill Hill, and taking one-day trips. She will always be remembered for her efforts in encouraging people to attend the Stone reunions. Darlene is survived by her husband, Jack Dannenhauer of fifty-seven years, of Baring, Missouri and her five children: Dana Hauk and her husband, Kenny of Memphis, Missouri; Danette Clatt and special friend, Lynn Monroe, of Memphis; Adam Dannenhauer of La Belle, Missouri; Aaron Dannenhauer and his wife, Stacie, of Memphis, Missouri and Becca Dannenhauer and her fiancé, Jared Parkin, of Douds, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Amanda Long and her husband, Jim; Cassandra Bryant and her husband, Scott; Emily Mauck and her husband, Lucas; Gavin Hauk and his wife, Courtney; Ivy Hauk and Chance Cook; Casey Clatt and his wife, Lydia; Kaela Shelley and her husband, Jared and Abby Clatt and Levi Woollums and two step grandchildren: Kelsey Bryant and Jake Bryant and eleven great grandchildren: Julie, Alex, Hayden and Quenton Long; Holly, Eli and Rhea Mauck; Javis Hauk, Carter and Pyper Clatt and Kaedee Shelley. Also surviving is a sister, Betty Dugger, a step brother, Jerry Grosenkemper and his wife, Janice; her step mother, Bessie Baker; an uncle, Darrel Stone and his wife, Yvonne; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn Davis and Joseph Grosenkemper, her step father, Leland Davis; a son-in-law, Deny Clatt; her husband's parents, Harry C. and Leantha Dannenhauer and Beulah Carter; a step brother, Kent Dunn and his wife, Deanna and a brother- in- law, Bob Dugger.
