Donna Vee Houghton, 77, of Memphis, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis. She was born March 3, 1938, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Earl Roy and Dorothy Pearl Goldsberry Hunt. Donna grew up in Scotland County, attended Memphis High School, graduating with the class of 1956. She married Vaughn Biggs and to this union a daughter, Kellie, and a son, Todd, were born. She later married Bobby Slaughter and to this union a son, Mike, and a daughter, Brooke, were born. She then married Gary Houghton. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Memphis and an active member of the Christian Women's Fellowship, having assisted in the preparation and serving of funeral meals. Donna worked as a nurse's aide at the Scotland County Hospital and the Scotland County Care Center and also assisted with activities at the Care Center. She also worked at the Memphis Locker and as a waitress and cook at Hardlee's in Memphis She enjoyed teaching and performing tap dancing in her younger years. She also participated in 4-H and loved riding and training horses, and was a member of the Brock Saddle Club. Donna enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, growing flowers and doing crafts. Donna is survived by a son, Mike Slaughter, of Memphis, Missouri; two daughters: Kellie Armijo and her husband, Mark, of Gilbert, Arizona; Brooke Sagerty and her husband, Pete, of St. Charles, Missouri; four grandchildren: Randi Slaughter, Ryan Slaughter, Brett Sagerty and Riley Sagerty. Also surviving is her twin sister, Dixie Drummond, of Memphis, Missouri, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Todd Biggs and a grandson, Peter Lucas Sagerty.
