Doris Elaine Riebel 72 passed away on Monday June 21 2010 at her home in rural Arbela Missouri.She was born July 7 1937 in Lee County Iowa to William Henry and Margaret Amanda Denning Schroeder.She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Fort Madison Iowa.She was united in marriage to Jamie C. Riebel on January 12 1958 at Fort Madison Iowa and to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 28 2010.Doris was a homemaker and assisted her husband in their farming operation. She enjoyed gardening was a member of the Scotland County Educational Club and was a volunteer for the Downing House in Memphis Missouri. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Riebel of Minneapolis Minnesota a son Jay Riebel and Angie Howard of Branson Missouri two grandchildren: Jason Riebel of Phoenix Arizona Amanda Brown and her husband Josh Of Carrollton Texas two great grandsons: Zeke Brown and Eli Brown. Other survivors include a sister Patricia Hawes of Fort Madison Iowa and a brother Floyd Schroeder and his wife Celine of Fort Madison Iowa nieces nephews and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents her husband three sisters: Virginia Carson Marion Schroeder Donna Dieryek and a brother Melbourne Schroeder. Visitation will open at the Memphis Funeral Home after 9 A.M. on Thursday June 24 where the family will be present to greet relatives and friends from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.Funeral services will be held at the Memphis Funeral Home on Friday June 25 at 2 P.M. Burial will follow in Lawn Ridge Cemetery in rural Scotland County. Casket bearers will be Roger L.
