Obituary

Albert Edwin "Eddie" Dye, Jr. 62, of Edina, Missouri formerly of Macon, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

Eddie was born on May 28, 1961, in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Albert Edwin and Donna Lee Gibbons Dye.

He attended Baring Elementary School and graduated from the Knox County High School, in the Class of 1979. Eddie moved to Macon, Missouri in 1987 and was employed with Heartland Lumber, CO-OP, MFA Fertilizer and later the Propane Division. He worked at Con-Agra until his health failed and he returned to Knox County.

He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #414 A.F. & A.M. He enjoyed visiting with friends, working cattle but he loved spending time with family.

Eddie is survived by his parents, Albert and Donna Dye of Edina, Missouri; his children, Brandi Nerae and Seth Rash of Troy, Missouri, Raymond "Tel" and Bailey Dye of Macon, Missouri, and Nathen and Jen See of Novelty, Missouri; a sister, Christina Kaye Nichols of Hurdland, Missouri; a brother, Thomas Richard and Tammy Jean Dye of Knox City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Dean Rash and Eliza Rash both of Troy, Missouri, Brinkley Dye and Layton Dye both of Macon, Missouri, and Paizley See, Liam See and Sawyer See all of Novelty, Missouri; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mark Nichols.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery in Baring, Missouri.

An expression of sympathy in memory of Eddie Dye may be left to the St. Aloysius Cemetery Association. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. 4th Street, Edina, Missouri 63537.
