Obituary

Edwin M. Hoover, 84, of Ephrata, died Friday, May 24, 2024, at Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

Edwin was born on June 20, 1939, in East Earl, PA, the son of Enos N. and Anna S. (Martin) Hoover, one of 10 children.

On December 25, 1959, in Richland, Lebanon County, PA, Edwin married Anna W. Oberholtzer, and to this union 8 children were born.

Edwin and Anna moved to Northeast MO on January 23, 1974, to raise a family. They were members at Millport Mennonite Church south of Rutledge, MO    Edwin is survived by eight children, Mark and Ellen Hoover of Memphis, MO, David and Ethel Hoover of Arbela, MO, Julia and Raymond Brubaker of Lamonte, MO, Lois and Mervin Garman of Arbela, MO, Jason and Nora Hoover of Altona, Manitoba, Canada, Ira and Karen Hoover of Baring, MO, James and Elva Hoover of Knox City, MO, Esther and Curvin Dean Martin of Garden Grove, IA, 59 grandchildren, 120 great-grandchildren, three brothers Raymond and Mabel Hoover of East Earl, PA, Enos and Anna Mae Hoover of New Holland, PA, Allen and Mabel Hoover of Port Byron, NY, and four sisters, Grace and Ellis Martin of Port Byron, NY, Anna Ruth and Hershey Sensenig of Romulus, NY, Erma and John Horning of Ephrata, PA, Miriam and Elmer High of Lititz, PA along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enos and Anna Hoover, his wife, Anna W. Hoover on August 24, 2010, a brother and a sister, Lester and Elaine, and a stillborn sibling.

Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Millport Mennonite Church south of Rutledge, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri.

Burial will be in the Millport Mennonite Cemetery south of Rutledge, Missouri.

Doss Funeral Home of Edina, Missouri is assisting the family.
