Eva “Darlene” Drummond, 89, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, returned to God’s loving arms on Friday, August 14th, 2026.
Darlene was born October 2nd, 1936, the daughter of Milo Leon and Eva Marie (Smith) Morgan, in Brock, Missouri, on their centennial family farm.
Darlene attended school in Memphis, Missouri and belonged to the 4-H club. She attended charm school and was top in her county.
Darlene was a devout Christian, who cherished Jesus, her bible, and studying the word of God. She attended Halsey United Methodist Church in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and she always knew the Lord was watching over her and her family. Darlene’s favorite bible verse was Isaiah 40:31, which read, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up on wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint, (NKJV). Her Christian values were in every part of her life and molded her into the beloved person she was.
Darlene leaves behind two daughters: Kristina Wood and Kerri (Marty) Jackson, her grandchildren, Ashley Whitaker, Amanda Jackson, and Christopher Gartman; her great-grandchildren; Elisha and Dallas Whitaker, who will all miss her immensely.
A memorial service will be held for Darlene at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at Halsey United Methodist Church, 10006 Halsey Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to Halsey United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. A memorial may be left or mailed to Memphis Funeral Home, 378 S Market Street, Memphis, Missouri 63555.
