Francis Joseph "Frank" Imes, 70 of LaBelle, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the

Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

He was born in Northampton, Massachusetts, the son of Raymond Hoover and Patricia Ann Lafoe

Imes.

Frank graduated from Smith Vocational School in Northampton, Massachusetts in the Class of 1972.

He served his country with the United States Air Force and on May 26, 1973, in Florence

Massachusetts, Frank married Cheryl Ann Smithies and to this union four children were born.

Frank worked as a truck driver for many different companies including the United State Postal Service,

and also was an owner-operator with his own truck. Over the years Frank and Cheryl's C.B. handles were

"Big Red" and "Little Momma". He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and doing mechanic work. He was

proud to have passed his skills and his character down to his children but most of all he loved spending

time with his family, kids, grandkids and great grandkids, and was proud of their accomplishments. Even

if he didn't approve of their musical tastes.

Frank is survived by his children, Tera and Steve Trzcinski of Three Rivers, Massachusetts, Deb and Tony

Snelling of Baring, Missouri, Frankie Imes and Ashley Arquit of LaBelle, Missouri, and Nicholas Imes of

Taylor, Missouri; two sisters, Nancy and Mark Subocz of Easthampton, Massachusetts, and Donna and

Stephen Phillips of Jonesboro, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Charlene Imes of Easthampton, Massachusetts;

eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a

host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Patricia Imes; wife, Cheryl Imes on December 16,

2021; a brother, Raymond Imes; and great grandson Leo.

Funeral services for Frank will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the Doss Funeral Home in

Edina, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Frankie Imes, Nick Imes, Jeff LaFountain, Sebastian Melendez, Connor

Melendez, Steve Trzcinski and Tony Snelling. Honorary Pallbearers, Trevor Snelling and Austin Snelling.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2024, at the funeral home with a

Christian Prayer Service at 5:00 p.m. Monday.

Full Military Honors by Knox County American Legion Post accorded. Interment will be in the LaBelle

Cemetery, in LaBelle, Missouri.

An expression of sympathy in memory of Frank Imes may be left to the St. Jude's Children Hospital or
