Geraldine Matilda “Jerry” Davidson, 91, of Edina, Missouri passed away Friday evening, July 31, 2026 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

    Jerry was born on September 8, 1934 in rural Knox County, Missouri, the daughter of Carl Dwight and Helen Matilde Koch Woodward.

    She was raised in Knox County, Missouri, attended Edina Elementary School and graduated from the Edina High School in the Class of 1952. She continued her education to be a Registered Nurse. She worked many years at the LaBelle Manor in LaBelle, Missouri.

    On April 12, 1959, in Edina, Missouri, Jerry married Allen Donald Davidson and to this union three children were born.

     They made their home on the family farm near Edina, and they raised their family. After many years of raising a crop, tending cattle, and selling eggs, they sold the farm and moved to Edina in 1997.

    Jerry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Edina, Mt. Salem Baptist Church near Newark and the Hurdland Baptist Church in Hurdland, Missouri at present.

    Jerry is survived by a son, Roger Davidson and Tony Fairchild of Vancouver, Washington; a daughter, Marie and Jeff Staples of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, rose Darnell of Peoria, Illinois and Elizabeth Klocke of Virden, Illinois; a brother-in-law, John and Diane Davidson of Alberta, Canada; a sister-in-law, Carol and Bob White of Edina, Missouri; two granddaughters, Emily and James Rawlings of Kansas City, Missouri, and Danielle and Lloyd Wood of Raytown, Missouri; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

    She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Ann Davidson in infancy; husband; Allen Davidson; and her parents, Carl and Helen Woodward.

    Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.

    Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

    Interment will be in the Linville Cemetery in Edina, Missouri.
