Glen D. Walker 85 of Bloomfield Iowa passed away March 27 2010 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.He was born March 7 1925 in Van Buren County Iowa to Pearl Milton and Grace Leona Hull Walker.He grew up in Memphis attending grade school and high school there.He married Joan Waddle on June 3 1950 at Huntsville Missouri and to this union three children were born.Glen worked for the Memphis Democrat newspaper until 1971 when he Joan and his family moved to Bloomfield Iowa where he was employed as a custodian at the Gilfillan Clinic until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church.He is survived by his wife of the home in Bloomfield a daughter Glenda Jo Miller and her husband Larry of Bloomfield Iowa two sons: Michael Dee Walker and his wife Jane of Columbia Missouri Mitchell Lee Walker and his wife Terri of Kansas City Missouri seven grandchildren: Mandi Francis and her husband Alan of Bloomfield Iowa Matthew Miller of Ottumwa Iowa Cara Walker Callie Walker and Crista Walker all of Columbia Missouri and Tyler Walker and Ryan Walker both of Kansas City Missouri. Other survivors include four great grandchildren: Jocelyn Miller Maleena Bender Kaitlin Francis Alexa Francis and a brother Floyd Walker and his wife Donna of Memphis Missouri.He was preceded in death by his parents a sister Dorothy Schell and a brother Lee Walker.
