Helen Arlene Stone, 81, of Memphis, Missouri, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.

She was born January 4, 1935, at Queen City, Missouri, to Vern Edwin and Vivian Irene (Steen) Riney.

She attended Memphis High School and then worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital at Hannibal, Missouri.

She married Jeyrl Stone on January 15, 1955, in Lancaster, Missouri and to this union two sons were born.

Arlene enjoyed working with the elderly and worked at Scotland County Care Center from January 12, 1979, until November 27, 2001, when failing health prevented her from further work.

She realized her greatest enjoyment when she could spend time with her family and was especially proud of and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

She is survived by her two sons: Michael Stone and his wife, Kathy and Ronald Stone, both of Memphis, Missouri; four grandchildren: Jennifer Drummond of Canton, Missouri, Harley Stone and Cameron Stone of Memphis, Missouri and Hailie Stone of Kahoka, Missouri; two great-grandchildren: Brody Drummond and Piper Bourgeois and a niece, Patti Foley and husband Dan of Geneseo, Illinois and  many friends.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Riney and his wife, Mary and a niece, Becky Riney.
