Ivan L. High, 82 years, 8 days, of Gorin, Missouri passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 10, 2023, at his home.

Ivan was born on April 2, 1941, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the son of Norman E. and Martha L. Lehman High.

On May 25, 1963, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he married Mary O. Martin and she preceded him in death on October 4, 1976.

On April 2, 1977 Ivan married Erma O. Martin and she survives of the home.

He was a member of the Northview Mennonite Church, north of Arbela, Missouri.

Ivan is survived by his wife, Erma High of Gorin, Missouri; children from his first union, Jane (Rufus) Musser of Milton, Iowa, Jerry (Susan) High of Arbela, Missouri, Lois (Melvin) Rissler of California, Missouri, Lamar (Melody) High of Downing, Missouri, Rhoda (Aaron) Martin of Pulaski, Iowa, Randy (Regina) High of Downing, Missouri, and Clair (Katrina) High of Gorin, Missouri; children from his second union, Carolyn High and Kevin High both of Memphis, Missouri; a brother, Paul (Elaine) High of Ephrata, Pennsylvania; four sisters, Irene (Lawrence) Martin of East Earl, Pennsylvania, Anna Mary (Wilmer) Horning, and Lucille (Leon) Good all of Port Byron, New York, and Edna (Leon) Horning of Memphis, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Edna Mae High of Newmanstown, Pennsylvania, and Alice High of Ephrata, Pennsylvania; forty-nine grandchildren; sixty-five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary; his parents, Norman and Martha High; two brothers, Edwin and Norman High; a grandson, Mitchell High; and a great grandson, Kenneth Martin.

Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Millport Mennonite Church south of Rutledge, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center, south of Memphis, Missouri.

Interment will be in the Millport Mennonite Cemetery, south of Rutledge, Missouri.

Clergy officiating will be Randall Martin, Nelson Martin, Carl Hoover, Charles Zimmerman, and Abner Oberholtzer.

Pallbearers will be Rufus Musser IV, Marcus High, Jay Ivan Rissler, Brent High, Jay Alan Martin and Bryce High.
