Martha Jane Janie Ebling 59 of Memphis Missouri passed away July 5 2010 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis.She was born June 17 1951 at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield Iowa to James Marvin and Vera Louise Erickson Monroe.She attended Memphis schools and graduated with the class of 1969. She married Larry Ebling May 1 1971. They later divorced.She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Memphis.Janie worked for Red Cross as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at the Memphis Pool and was employed at the Scotland County Nursing Home as a CNA Med Tech until her affliction with multiple sclerosis made it impossible. .She loved to swim fish and be outside. When she was unable to be outdoors she enjoyed crocheting sewing and crafts. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time and playing with her grandchildren. She is survived by her mother Vera Monroe of Memphis Missouri a daughter Sally Ebling and her fianc Gary Dean of Baring Missouri a son Scott Ebling and wife Denise and her family of Memphis Missouri a brother Roy Monroe and his wife Dora of Memphis Missouri two sisters: Lou Ann Bush and her husband David of Ponca City Oklahoma and Susan Huff and her husband Curtiss of Cantril Iowa. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law Ann Shaw and her husband Leon of Gorin Missouri Jan Howell and her husband Gary also of Gorin Missouri her grandchildren Ben Shannan and Claire Shannan and many nieces nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her father and an infant daughter Davida Michele.
