Julie Ann Hamann, 57, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Julie was born February 13, 1969, in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Robert Lee "Bob" and Mary Patricia "Susie" Early Cahalan.

Julie attended St. Joseph Catholic School (1-8) and Knox County High School, where she was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1987. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Missouri – Columbia on a Missouri Bright Flight Scholarship where she obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration (Finance) in 1991 and a Master's of Accountancy in 1992.

Julie started her professional career as an Auditor in July 1992 with the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). In June 2000 she accepted a position as an Auditor with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Inspector General (EPA OIG), where she spent the last 25 years.

Julie was united in marriage to her husband, Larry Scott Hamann, on September 28, 2002, in Edina, Missouri. To this union, two children were born. Danielle Nicole, a senior, studying Public Relations and Marketing at the University of Georgia, and Ryan Scott, a junior, studying Mechanical Engineering and playing baseball at Rockhurst University. In addition to her family, Julie loved all Missouri Tiger sports and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Julie was preceded in death by her father; one brother-in-law, Brian Bruegenhemke (Kathleen); and one nephew, Chad Petrofsky (Amanda).

Julie is survived by her husband; children; mother; six sisters and three brothers; Jan Agee (Ralph), Mary Ann Robison (Jerry), Dianne Wilderson (Dave), Steve (Michelle), Sherry Goodwin (Kevin), Kathleen Bruegenhemke, Gary, Mark (Andrea), and Nancy Rourke (Kirk); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Patricia Hamann; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Heather Hamann Parmer; and thirty-two nieces and nephews: Lisa O'Dell (Jeremy), Lori Kenney (Todd), Brett Agee (Laura), Lydia Orpin (Danny), Andrew Robison, Michael Robison (Jori), Amanda Petrofsky, Daniel Robison (Jennifer), Nicholas Robison, Brittany Wiebe (Ryan), Meagan Haynes (Justin), Matthew Wilderson (Asher), Courtney Moore (Paul), Kelsey Reed (Nathaniel), Derek Cahalan (Sheyenne), Brandon Goodwin (Krishawn), Nathan Goodwin (Hannah), Kaitlin Saucier (Aaron), Drew Bruegenhemke (Megan), Allie Bruegenhemke, Lexi Cahalan, Ali Cahalan, Dominic Cahalan, Luke Cahalan, Isaac Cahalan, Delaney Cahalan, Max Rourke (Nikayla), Abbey Rourke, Faith Rourke, Macie Parmer, Weston Parmer, and Gus Parmer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, Missouri.

Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church in Edina, Missouri.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Edina, Missouri.
