Kathie Mae Thrasher, 61, of Memphis, Missouri, died Friday, January 30, 2015, at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis. She was born January 15, 1954, at Edina, Missouri, to Kenneth Earl and Margie Corinne (Spray) Thrasher. She was a Scotland County RI graduate, Class of 1972. She also attended beauty school in Keokuk, Iowa. Kathie loved to cook. She worked in the dietary department at the Keokuk Area Hospital and cooked for several restaurants in the area. She enjoyed quilting, bowling and racing with Micheal and Lynn. Her most enjoyable time was spent with her family. She is survived by her son, Micheal Monroe and his wife, Julie, of Memphis; her mother, Corinne Thrasher, of Memphis; four sisters: Pattie Robinson and her husband, Roger, of Memphis; Pamela Tripp of Memphis; Sandra Thrasher of Gibbs, Missouri; Melissa Anders and her husband, Rusty, of Downing, Missouri and a brother, Johnny Thrasher and his wife, Amy, of Winter Park, Florida and many nieces, nephews and friends. Kathie was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, a sister, Brenda Rae Thrasher and a nephew, Bradley Jo Anders. To honor her wishes, cremation has been accorded with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
