Obituary

Kimbria Skye Burkholder, age 2 ½ years, passed away peacefully in her mother's arms at 9:18 p.m. on January 16, 2021, at the Women's and Children's Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. The precious daughter of Jeffrey and Leann Burkholder, she was born on July 5, 2018 at Kirksville, Missouri. At the age of four months, she was diagnosed with I-cell disease, a rare hereditary genetic disorder. Kimbria will be greatly missed by her parents, Jeffrey and Leann Burkholder of Baring, Missouri; her grandparents, Kenneth and Marlene Burkholder of Baring, Missouri, and Eugene and Minerva Oberholtzer of Gorin, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Teresa (Calvin) Good of Memphis, Missouri, Daryl (Diane) Burkholder of Baring, Missouri; Krista (Jay Lloyd) Martin of Livingston, Wisconsin, Ruth Ann (Keith) Nolt of Fennimore, Wisconsin, Brenda Burkholder of Baring, Missouri, Kenneth Jr. (Darlene) Burkholder of Baring, Missouri, Delton, Kelvin, Kaylene and Verlin Burkholder all of Baring, Missouri, Cody (Marilyn) Oberholtzer of Edina, Missouri, Jessalyn (Wesley) Burkholder of Arbela, Missouri; and Clifton, Kendrick, Weston, Justina, Jaron and Jalayna Oberholtzer all of Gorin, Missouri; twenty-five cousins; great grandparents, Raymond and Laura Burkholder of Baring, Missouri, and Abner and Leora Oberholtzer of Gorin, Missouri, Aaron and Annie Sensenig of Versailles, Missouri. She was preceded in death by an uncle, Jonathan Martin; and great grandparents, Mabel Burkholder, Verna Oberholtzer, and Amos and Frances Zimmerman. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri. Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Millport Mennonite Church, south of Rutledge, Missouri. Pall Bearers will be Daryl Burkholder, Kenneth Jr. Burkholder, Cody Oberholtzer and Clifton Oberholtzer. Officiating will be Abner Oberholtzer, Carl Hoover, Calvin Hoover, Earl Oberholtzer and Vernon Oberholtzer. Kimbria Burkholder's family request your presence and prayers, no flowers please. The Doss Funeral Home, of Edina, Missouri, is in charge of arrangements.
