Lula Marie Hill 87 Pharr Texas and formerly of Bloomfield and Fairfield Iowa died October 3 2010 at McAllen Texas.She was born April 9 1923 at Jackson Michigan to Emmett R. and Viola Zoe Hall White.She attended school in Bloomfield Iowa and later taught in country schools in Davis County Iowa. She married Glen D. Hill on May 3 1943 at Lancaster Missouri and to this union a daughter was born The family moved to Fairfield Iowa in 1954 where Marie worked in retail and as a secretary and bookkeeper until her retirement. In 1991 Marie and Glen moved to Mission Texas where she remained very active volunteering in local hospitals. Glen preceded her in death on February 17 2004. She then married Robert Henderson of Pharr Texas in 2005. He preceded her in death in March of 2009.Marie was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #1 of Bloomfield and the Order of Eastern Star of Fairfield.She is survived by a daughter Deanna M. Cochran and her husband Mike and their children Robert and Michelle and two great grandsons Robert and Anthony all of Edinburg Texas.Graveside services will be held Monday October 11 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Drakesville Cemetery Drakesville Iowa.Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church McAllen Texas and may be mailed to Memphis Funeral Home 378 South Market Street Memphis Missouri 63555.
