Lance Ray Peterson 51 Memphis Missouri died Sunday March 4 2012 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach Missouri.He was born January 3 1961 at Bloomfield Iowa to Theodore Raymond and Donna Joan Garrett Peterson.He grew up at Milton Iowa and was a 1980 graduate of Fox Valley High School in Milton.Lance was a truck driver. He enjoyed music and playing poker playing as often as he could with the Texas Holdem group in Memphis. He received his most enjoyment when he could spend time with his family and especially his granddaughter.He is survived by a son Derek Peterson of Memphis two daughters: Jennifer Talbert and her husband Chris of Memphis and Lacey Peterson of Fairfield Iowa his parents Donna and Theodore Peterson of Memphis and a granddaughter Kayden Talbert. Other survivors include two sisters: Nikki Adams and her husband Jeff of Memphis Korki Shumaker and her husband Brian of Kirksville Missouri a half-brother Bruce Dempsey of Memphis nieces nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.Funeral services will be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Thursday March 8 2012 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton Iowa. Casket bearers will be Jeff Adams. Dave Becthel Brian Bush Kevin McQuid Brian Shumaker Jimmy Walker Anthony Shultz and Chris Talbert.Honorary bearers are Tom Huntsman Warren Jennings Elif Raymer Hammer Riojas Kim Roberts Mike Swarts and Shawn Wilson. Visitation will open at the funeral home after 9 A.M. on Wednesday March 7 2012 with the family present to greet relatives and friends from 6 until 8 P.M.
