LaRon Ramer Horst, age 18 years, 6 days, of Downing, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026 in Scotland County, Missouri.

    He was born October 20, 2008, at Arbela, Missouri, the son of Daniel B. and Jolene (Ramer) Horst.

    LaRon was an active member of Meadow View Mennonite Church. His caring personality and presence will leave an aching void in the hearts of those who knew him.

    LaRon is survived by his parents, Daniel B. and Jolene Horst; his siblings, Evelyn, JoEllen, Vernon, Marilyn, Katherine, Laurann, Nevin, Lorene, and Joann Horst all of Downing, Missouri; his grandparents, Edwin and Esther Mae Ramer of Gorin, Missouri, and Edwin and Ruth Horst of Downing, Missouri; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

    He was preceded in death by an uncle, Jerome Horst and a cousin Kirsten Zimmerman.

    Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Meadow View Mennonite Church north of Memphis, Missouri.

    Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri.

    Interment will be in the Meadow View Mennonite Cemetery, north of Memphis, Missouri.
