Lexie Eve Myers, 17, of Kirksville, Missouri, died Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Hannibal, Missouri.

She was born June 11, 2000, at Hannibal, Missouri, to Eric Andrew and Christina Rae Stewart Myers.

Lexie grew up in Memphis and attended Scotland County R-1 Schools through fifth grade and then moved with her parents to Kirksville where she was attending school there. She had a passion for Spanish and was studying it for her fourth year in high school.  She was employed as a cashier at Walmart in Kirksville where she considered her co-workers as another family to her.

Lexie strived to be the best at everything she did. She loved to read and began reading at a very early age.  Her favorite author was Steven King. Music was also a big part of her life; she attended her first concert when she was sixteen and her favorite band was "Fall Out Boy" and her favorite actor was Bill Murray.  Lexie loved the outdoors; running, fishing and hiking being her favorite activities.  When vacationing with her family, the "adventure" in Lexie was to always find a cave, something she thoroughly enjoyed.  Her greatest love was being with her family; they were very important to her.

She was preceded in death by her father in 2004, her great grandparents; Ruth Myers, Wayne Mattingly, Mildred Howard, Duke Stewart, Ilene Stewart and Tom Motley.

Left to cherish her memory is her parents, Christina and Dustin Howard; a brother, Griffen Myers; a sister, Brielle Howard and her grandparents, Mark and Janet Mattingly, Jerry Stewart, Dennis Howard, Patricia Howard, Kathy BoGannon, and Tom and Jean Myers.
