Linda Lea Briggs, 51, of Memphis, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center at St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born March 4, 1973, in Memphis, Missouri, the daughter of Richard Lee and Racheal Elaine Grubb Briggs.
On August 10, 2002, in Gorin, Missouri she married Marlin Oberholtzer, and they were united in marriage for 9 years.
Linda graduated from the Scotland County High School in the Class of 1991. She worked at the Garment Factory, Converter Concepts, Dollar General, and the Sunrise Motel where she just celebrated 29 years.
She could be found walking around town or riding her bicycle. She enjoyed baking cookies and giving them to family and friends.
Linda is survived by her mother, Elaine Briggs of Memphis, Missouri; her dear friend and constant companion, Bob Campbell of Memphis, Missouri; a brother, Brian Briggs and his significant other, Laura Coffman both of Memphis, Missouri; niece and nephews, Jake Briggs and his fiancé Hailey Nordstrom of Lancaster, Missouri, Levi Briggs and Cody Briggs both of Memphis, Missouri, Niya Coffman and Abel Coffman both of Memphis, Missouri, along with numerous cousins and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee Briggs on September 16, 2021.
Funeral Services will be at 2 pm Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, Missouri.
Officiating will be Larry Smith. Casket Bearers, Jake Briggs, Levi Briggs, Cody Briggs, Bill Holland, Jason Campbell and Joe Talbert. Along with Honorary Bearers, Anna Talbert, Judy Lewis, Loretta Musser, Betsy Jarvis and Eva Fox.
Burial will be in the Memphis Cemetery in Memphis, Missouri.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Linda Briggs may be left to the Scotland County Health Department to be used for Diabetes screening.
A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Memphis Funeral Home 378 South Market Street Memphis, Missouri 63555.
