Mabel Z. Burkholder, 77, of Edina, Missouri, entered in to rest February 10th 2019 at her home.
She was born May 1, 1941 at East Earl PA Lancaster Co. the daughter of the late Noah S. and Lizzie N. (Sauder) Zimmerman.
On October 17, 1961, in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, Mabel married Raymond Z. Burkholder and to this union 10 children were born.
Mabel and her husband moved to Missouri in February of 1974. She was a member of Millport Mennonite Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Raymond of 57 years, and their 9 sons and one daughter: Kenneth (Marlene) Burkholder of Baring MO, Wilmer (Betty) Burkholder of Edina MO, Raymond Jr. (Wilma) Burkholder of Baring MO, Ralph (Linda) Burkholder of Downing MO, Leonard (Lonita) Burkholder of Edina MO, Neil (Lucinda) Burkholder of Milford NE, Alvin (Lena Mae) Burkholder of Baring MO, Esther (Lavern) Burkholder of Arbela MO, Lewis (Mary Ella) Burkholder of Baring MO, and James (Christine) Burkholder of Edina MO.
Also surviving are also 68 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren, four brothers: Ivan (Ruth) Zimmerman of Narvon PA, Leroy (Verna) Zimmerman of Mifflinburg PA, Noah (Ella) Zimmerman of Martinsburg PA, three sisters: Alta (John) Weaver of East Earl PA, Anna Mary Hoover of Morgantown PA, Esther (Alvin) Horst of Shelby OH, and a sister-in-law Mary Ella Zimmerman of Richland, PA, along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother David Zimmerman and a brother-in-law Leroy Hoover, one grandson-in-law Jonathan Martin and one stillborn great grandson Kade Nolt.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February13, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Millport Mennonite Church, south of Rutledge, Missouri.
Pall Bearers will be Daryl Burkholder, Harlan Burkholder, Quentin Burkholder, Travis Burkholder, Tyler Burkholder, and Wesley Burkholder.
Officiating will be Abner Oberholtzer, Carl Hoover, Calvin Hoover and Earl Oberholtzer.
