Madelene Daniel Hill, 95, of Franklin, Tennessee and formerly of Bloomfield, Iowa, died February 7, 2014, at the NHC Franklin in Franklin, Tennessee. She was born November 28, 1918, in Savannah, Iowa, to Bonnie L. and C. Georgia Francis Daniel. She grew up in Savannah, attending school there through eighth grade and later attained a GED. She married Ralph C. Hill on May 16, 1947, in Bloomfield, Iowa. Madelene worked for Gould Grocery, the Royal Café, was a dental assistant for Dr. William Schlegel and worked in the pharmacy at the Gilfillan Clinic; all in Bloomfield. Ralph and Madelene also owned The Nook in Bloomfield. She was an avid golfer and antique buff. Madelene was a member of the Bloomfield County Club, the American Legion Auxiliary and a very active member of the Bloomfield Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph, on March 18, 1986; a sister, Geraldine "Jerry" Stuart Tarrence and a great nephew, Paul Miller. Madelene is survived by two nieces: Diana Miller and her husband, Bob, of Franklin, Tennessee and Betty Pottorff and her husband, Ron, of Bloomfield, Iowa; a nephew Charles T. "Tom" Stuart and his wife, Janice, of Pueblo, Colorado; great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
