Obituary

Margaret Louise Adams 73 of Gorin Missouri died Saturday April 16 2011 at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City Iowa.She was born January 30 1938 in Gorin Missouri to Earl Miller and Bertha Marie Hardman Egbert.She grew up in the Gorin area and was a graduate of Gorin High School Class of 1956.She married Charles F. Adams on May 22 1956 and to this union five children were born.Margaret was a homemaker and also was a clerk for sales at the Memphis Sale Barn. She enjoyed quilting and working outdoors particularly tending to her many flowers. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and grandchildren.She was a member of the Gorin Methodist Church.She is survived by her husband Charles of Gorin a daughter Anna Marie Keegan of Overland Missouri three sons: Alan E. Adams and his wife Tammy of Memphis Missouri Michael D. Adams and his wife Sharon of Raymore Missouri Charles W. Adams of Gorin Missouri eleven grandchildren: Katie Keegan Kit Keegan and Nathaniel Keegan all of Overland Missouri Joshua Adams and Karissa Adams both of Memphis Missouri Shawn Adams of Raymore Missouri Bryan Adams of Columbia Missouri Shawn Webster of Kahoka Missouri Scott Adams of Wyaconda Missouri Chris Adams of Hermann Missouri and Brian Adams of Kahoka Missouri. Also surviving are two aunts: Louella Gardener of Omaha Nebraska Betty Wagoner of Fort Dodge Iowa and many friends.Margaret was preceded in death by her parents a daughter Mary Louise Adams a grandson Don McCutcheon and a brother Gene Earl Egbert.Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Monday April 18 2011 at the Memphis Funeral Home with Reverend David Howlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Gorin Cemetery. Casket bearers will be John Austin Ronnie Boyer Allen Fitzgerald Allan Hulet Robert Kraus and Rodney Thomas. Honorary bearers will be Julie Adams Georgia Erickson Johnny Erickson and Jean Saxton.Visitation will open after 3 P.M. at the Memphis Funeral Home on Sunday April 17 with the family present to greet friends from 6 until 8 P.M. To honor Margarets memory a memorial may be made to the Scotland County Cancer Fund and may be left at or mailed to Memphis Funeral Home 378 South Market Street Memphis Missouri 63555.
