Margaret Lou Grant 80 of Memphis Missouri passed away March 15 2010 at Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis.She was born January 21 1930 at Keokuk Iowa to Clarence I. and Pearl E. Archer McEldowney.She graduated from Pulaski High School in Pulaski Iowa with the class of 1948. She also attended Kirksville Teachers College in Kirksville Missouri.She married Keith E. Grant on June 19 1949 and to this union three children Joe Sue Ann and Roger were born. Keith preceded her in death on November 22 2000. She spent most of her married life assisting her husband in their cattle farming operation south of Pulaski. She also was a substitute teacher in the Davis County school system for forty years and served as a 4-H leader. Following their retirement in 1997 Keith and Margaret moved to Memphis Missouri.Margaret was a member of the Pulaski Methodist Church and regularly attended the Memphis Methodist Church. She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Memphis. She also belonged to several card clubs the Red Hat Club was a social member of the Memphis Country Club and participated in a special exercise group. Margaret had many friends and loved them all.She is survived by her three children: Joe Grant and his wife Julie of Eldridge Iowa and their daughter Gwen Giampaolo and her husband Jeff and their daughters Sophia and Madeline of Frankfort Illinois Sue Ann Edgar and her husband Ted of Newburgh Indiana and their children Lisa Kelsey and her husband Mike of Aurora Illinois and Christopher Edgar of Newburgh Indiana and Roger Grant and his wife Arlys of Memphis Missouri. Other survivors include a sister Deloris Garmon of Bloomfield Iowa a sister-in-law Mildred Spilman of Bloomfield Iowa and their children and families.She was preceded in death by her parents her husband and a sister in infancy.. Memorials may be made for the Scotland County Ambulance or the Davis County Fair Board and may be left at or mailed to Memphis Funeral Home 378 South Market Street Memphis Missouri.
