Mary Ann Creek, 71, of Gorin, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.
Mary was born on August 14, 1950, in Washington, Missouri, the daughter of Chester and Gladys Franklin Holzschuh.
She graduated from the Bland High School in Bland, Missouri, in the Class of 1968.
On January 13, 1968, in Bland, Missouri, Mary married William Cecil "Bill" Creek and to this union two boys were born.
Mary was employed as a bookkeeper for Bland Feed Store, Solomon Brothers, Wagner Lighting, Moog Automotive and finally Olin Brass until her retirement. They moved to Gorin, Missouri in 2012 to make their home.
She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Gorin, Missouri, and Quilting Guild in Memphis. She enjoyed quilting, raising chickens, ducks, geese and guines, horses, fishing and most of all family.
Mary is survived by her husband, Bill Creek of Rural Gorin, Missouri; two sons Michael and Jennifer Creek of Troy, Missouri, and Chad and Kimberly Creek of Cheney, Kansas; two brothers, Paul and Diane "Sue" Holzschuh of Salem, Missouri and Carl and Karon Holzschuh of Conroe, Texas; a sister-in-law, Sandy Holzschuh of Bland, Missouri; four grandchildren, Morgan, Danielle and her husband Mitchell Creek-Tuttle, Samantha and Eric; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Gladys Holzschuh; and a brother, Don Holzschuh.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2021, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Gorin, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Church.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Mary Creek may be left to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Memphis Funeral Home 378 S. Market Street, Memphis, Missouri 63555.
