Obituary

Mary Ann Hines 67 of Memphis Missouri passed away Monday February 9 2009 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy Illinois.She was born February 16 1941 at Marshalltown Iowa to Ernest Neff and Elise Mae Dowell Davis. She grew up in the Marshalltown area and attended school through the ninth grade at Anson Junior High School in Marshalltown.Mary Ann married Norman Francis Hines on August 9 1958 at Kahoka Missouri. He passed away June 8 2003. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in their farming operation. She was a member of the Memphis United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her dog Sweet Pea riding her mule and her biggest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren. She is survived by a son Curtis Hines and his wife Laura of Arbela Missouri two daughters: Brenda Long and her husband David and Deborah Woods and her husband Kevin all of Memphis Missouri and a daughter-in-law Jill Hines of Downing Missouri. Other survivors include ten grandchildren: Kevin Bryan Woods and his wife Jenny of Windsor Colorado Faith Ann Miller and her husband Buzz of Memphis Missouri Sean Woods and friend Clarinda Garrett of Warrensburg Missouri Matthew Woods Memphis Missouri Jim Long and his wife Amanda of Memphis Missouri Eric Long of Memphis Missouri Jeff Long who is currently enlisted with the U.S. Navy Chase Hines and his wife Megan of Arbela Missouri Betsy Kraus and her husband Greg of Arbela Missouri Tyler Hines of Downing Missouri eight great-grandchildren three sisters Betty Ray and her husband Bill of Luray Missouri Edna Ray and her husband Bob of Marshalltown Iowa Rose Marie Gardner and her husband Marlin of Melbourne Iowa two brothers: Robert Davis and Ronnie Davis both of Marshalltown Iowa nieces nephews cousins and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents her husband a son Travis Hines and three brothers: Ernest H. Davis Jr. Harry Davis Donald Davis and many friends.Visitation will open after 9 A.M. at the funeral home on Thursday February 12 2009 with the family present to greet relatives and friends between 6 and 8 P.M.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday February 13 2009 at the Memphis Funeral Home with the Reverend Beryl Cragg officiating. Music will be provided by Joan Hinds and Reverend Terry Lippstreu. Burial will follow the service in the Kahoka Cemetery in Kahoka Missouri. Casket bearers will be Jerry Hocker Dennis OBrian Jack March Marlin Oberholtzer Larry Wiggins and Jim Hetzer. Honorary bearers will be Jim Long Eric Long Jeff Long Chase Hines Tyler Hines Matthew Woods Sean Woods and Bryan Woods. Memorials may be made to the Memphis Theater and may be left at or mailed to Memphis Funeral Home 378 South Market Street Memphis Missouri 63555.
