Nikki Jo (Peterson) Adams, 64, of Memphis, Missouri passed away September 19, 2026 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Nikki was born March 15, 1962, in Bloomfield, Iowa, the daughter of Theodore Raymond and  Donna Joan (Garrett) Peterson.

Nikki attended Fox Valley School in Milton, Iowa, and moved to Memphis, Missouri, in 1980.

She was united in marriage to Jeffrey Lynn Adams on November 18, 2001, in Memphis, Missouri.

She spent her working years driving a semi, being out on the road, and working at the gas station. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family, reading and using cook books for new recipes and enjoyed doing word search puzzles and scrapbooking.

Nikki is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Lynn Adams of Memphis, Missouri; a son, Jeffrey Lynn Adams Jr. of Sterling, Illinois; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn (Nathan) Gillen of Columbia, Missouri; a sister, Korki (Brian) Shumaker of Kirksville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Stormi Schultz, Hailei Schultz, Jazmaya Schultz and Daiman Gillen; a great granddaughter, Paislei Starmann; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Raymond "Theo" and Donna Joan Peterson; A daughter, Toni Jo White Schultz; two brothers, Bruce Dempsey and Lance Peterson; and a granddaughter, Kaylynn Potter.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 am, at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, Missouri, with family receiving friends from 9-11:00 am, Friday, at the funeral home. 

Interment will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton, Iowa.
