Obituary

Pamela Joyce Hormann 58 of Donnellson Iowa and formerly of West Grove Iowa died November 12 2011 at the Donnellson Health Center following an extended illness. She was born August 22 1953 in Bloomfield Iowa to Darwin Edward and Betty Lou Moore West.She grew up in rural Davis County and was a 1971 graduate of Davis County Community High School. She attended Indian Hills Community College and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from William Penn College.She married Darrell E. Hormann on June 19 1971 in Lancaster Missouri.Pam worked as an accountant. She liked to travel and especially enjoyed being outdoors where she spent as much time as possible camping and fishing. She also enjoyed bowling dancing and playing pool.Left to honor her memory is a daughter Patrena Beske and her husband Brian of Ottumwa Iowa a son Dereck Hormann and his wife April of West Grove Iowa a granddaughter Brooklyn Beske a step-granddaughter Katelyn Beske and two step-grandsons: Joshua Beske and Nicholas Sample. Other survivors include a sister Sharon Knight and her husband Richard of Ottumwa two half brothers: Chuck McDaniel and Kenneth McDaniel both of Ottumwa a stepbrother and four stepsisters.She was preceded in death by her parents a son Daron D. Hormann a brother Gary West and a stepsister.A visitation with the family present to greet friends and relatives will be held Tuesday evening November 15 2011 at the West Grove United Methodist Church from 6 until 8 P.M. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 16th at the West Grove United Methodist Church at 1 P.M. with Reverend Shari Squires officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in rural Davis County. Casket bearers will be Danny Armstrong Dustin Armstrong Brian Beske Joshua Beske Jim Nelson and Cody Roberts. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Donnellson Health Center and may be left at the church or mailed to Memphis Funeral Home 378 South Market Street Memphis Missouri 63555.
