Phyllis Ann Mallett, 62, of Memphis, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at the Country Aire Retirement Center in Lewistown, Missouri.
Phyllis was born January 4, 1963, in Kirksville, Missouri. The daughter of Donald Ray and Helen Louise Goodwin Parrish.
She attended school in Baring, Missouri before graduating from Knox County High School in Edina, Missouri, Class of 1981. She attended college at Northeast Missouri State University where she received an associate's degree in accounting.
On June 14, 1985, at the Christian Church in Baring, Missouri, she married her high school sweetheart, Donald Kent Mallett and to this union two children were born.
She had been employed at the Scotland County Hospital, Dollar General, J's Grocery Store, and TJ's Grocery Store.
She enjoyed going to garage sales, life on the farm, watching Live PD, but most of all she loved babysitting nieces and nephews and spending time with her grandkids.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Chris and Jayme Mallett of Memphis, Missouri, and Leslie and Lance Horak of Alburnett, Iowa; brother, Ronnie and Kristy Parrish of Kirksville, Missouri; sisters, Jennifer and Eric Dickerson of Memphis, Missouri, Brenda Parrish and J.L. Newland of Downing, Missouri, Donna Walsh of Memphis, Missouri; five grandchildren, Mandy, Scott, Levi, Layton, and Lilly; along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Helen Parrish; husband, Kent Mallett, March 17, 2018; two brothers, Larry Parrish and Stevie Parrish and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald Leonard Mallett and Virginia Ann Mallett.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, Missouri. Officiated by Pastor Kenny Geisendorfer of Open Arms Ministries Church.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m, Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, Missouri.
Interment will be in Greensburg Cemetery in Greensburg, Missouri.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Phyllis Mallett may be left to the Scotland County Cancer Fund. A memorial may be left at or mailed to Memphis Funeral Home 378 S. Market Street Memphis, Missouri, 63555.
