Obituary

Randy Charles Gossman, 58, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010, at his residence in Edina, Missouri.

Randy was born on August 13, 1952, the son of Charles Earl and JoAnn Jackson Gossman.

He was raised in Edina, Missouri and attended the Edina Elementary and Knox County High School graduating in the class of 1970. He received his degree in Horology, with the Gem City School, and graduated in 1972 before opening “Gossman Jewelers” in Kirksville, Missouri.

Randy returned to Edina in 1992 to take over his dad’s store after his retirement.

He was a member of the Edina Christian Church, serving as deacon and church board member, the Knox County Chamber of Commerce and was faithful to the blood drives of the American Red Cross, where he was just recognized for giving twenty gallons. Randy enjoyed reading and assembling puzzles.

Randy is survived by his parents, Charles and JoAnn Gossman of Edina, Missouri; a brother, Rodney and his wife Teresa Gossman of Mt. Zion, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Zachary and Stephanie Gossman of Mt. Zion, Illinois; an aunt, Marjorie West of Lancaster, Missouri; cousins, James Beeler of Lancaster, Missouri, Vincent Jackson of Holt, Missouri, Mark Jackson of Sedalia, Missouri and Rebecca Jeffries of Queen City, Missouri; and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.

Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Edina, Missouri.

Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville, Missouri.

Reverend Dewayne Wellborn will officiate and music will be provided by Evelyn Glasgow and Wynona Banks.

An expression of sympathy in memory of Randy Gossman may be left to the Edina Christian Church or the American Red Cross. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. 4 th Street, Edina, Missouri 63537.
