Retta "Darlene" Fulk, 75, passed away Sunday evening, September 3, 2017, at her home in Memphis, Missouri.

She was born near Luray, Missouri, on December 1, 1941, to Clarence George and Esther Merle (Horter) Dochterman.

Darlene grew up in the Wyaconda area and was a 1960 graduate of Wyaconda High School.

She married Jack Scanlan and to this union a daughter was born. She later married Larry Francis Fulk and to this union three children were born.

Darlene lived on a farm near Arbela, Missouri, until her health began to decline; she then moved to Memphis. Darlene enjoyed dancing and was an excellent cook.  She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and collecting chicken and rooster figurines.  She was a lunch room cook in the Scotland County school system and also worked at the National Garment Factory in Memphis and the Riverside Plastics at Bonaparte, Iowa..  Darlene's greatest passion was realized when she could spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Arbela Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children: Terry Hilpert and her husband, Gary, of Baring, Missouri; Gary Fulk of Arbela, Missouri; Larry Duane Fulk and special friend, Allyson, of Columbia, Missouri and Joni Robinson and her husband, Kelly, of Arbela, Missouri; three grandchildren:  Jeremy Duane Hinds and wife, LaDica; Caelin Robinson and Carman Robinson; two great grandchildren:  Jentzen Hinds and Landrick Hinds and many nieces and nephews.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Wesley Dochterman and a grandson, Tommy Dean Justice.
