Robert Earl "Bobby" Jones, 70, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019, at the Blessing Hospital, in Quincy, Illinois. Bobby was born on December 13, 1948 in rural Knox County, Missouri, the son of Earl Ray and Dorothy Mae Pitzer Jones. He attended Plevna Elementary School and graduated from the Knox County High School, in the Class of 1966. On May 24, 1968, Robert married Linda Brown and to this union two children were born. Bobby worked for Palmer Farms and Klocke Farms for many years and drove a lime truck until his health failed and he retired about ten years ago. He is survived by his children, Joey Jones, and Erica Jones of Kirksville, Missouri; a sister, Virginia "Ginny" Morrison of Columbia, Missouri; a grandson; a special friend and caregiver, Jennifer Klocke of Edina, Missouri; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Dorothy Jones; a sister, Irene Moots; and a brother in infancy. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Bobby's family will receive friends on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. until service time.
