Roberta Mary DeStefano, 68 of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at her residence in Kirksville, Missouri.

She was born November 12, 1956, in New Haven, Conneticut, the daughter of Anthony Phillip and Roberta Isabel Hayes DeStefano.

She attended Bassick High School and Park City Alternative School in Connecticut and graduated in the Class of 1976. She continued her education at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Roberta worked a variety of jobs while in school, including summer camp counselor for preschoolers, Apprentice Social Worker, data processor for the city of Bridgeport, at the U.S. Federal Building and courthouse for 12 years before working for a private company, in 1986, John J. Masi as a field manager. In 1990 she moved to Kirksville, Missouri to be near family. She worked at Day's Inn and Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, until her retirement.

Roberta is survived locally by her cousins, Larry and Barbara Burk of Baring, Missouri; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parent, Antony and Roberta DeStefano.

Roberta's wishes were to be cremated and buried next to her mother in the St. Aloysius Cemetery in Baring, Missouri.
