Shirley Jean Sears, 83, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation in Moberly, Missouri. Shirley was born July 27, 1935, to Earl and Harrie (Turner) Morris in Moberly, Missouri. She received her education in the Moberly public schools. On June 16, 1952, Shirley married Leslie Melvord Sears and to this union four children were born. Shirley worked for over twenty-five years at several nursing homes as a dietician before her retirement. Survivors include: sons: Gary Sears and wife Sheila of Huntsville, Missouri, Terry Sears and wife Sherri of Huntsville, Missouri, and David Sears of Moberly, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Kelli and her husband Mike Bartholomew of Huntsville, Missouri, Jason and his wife Keri Sears of Huntsville, Missouri, LaDonna and her husband Marc Stauffer of Edina, Missouri, Jonathan Sears of Edina, Missouri, Katie Sears of Moberly, Missouri, Taylor Sears of Paris, Missouri, Michael and his wife Meri-Lea Sears of Moberly, Missouri, and Michelle and her husband Brad Ross of Moberly, Missouri; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Hudson of Moberly, Missouri; a brother, Rick Morris of Del City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Morris in 1961 and Harrie Davis in 2004; her husband, Leslie Sears in 2012; a daughter, Mary Sears in infancy; two brothers, Bill Morris in 1997 and George (Butch) Davis in 2014. A private family graveside burial service will take place at a later date under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly, Missouri.
