Stanley Hatfield 75 of Arbela Missouri died August 3 2009 at his home.He was born August 17 1933 at Gorin Missouri to Edward Grover and Grace Maude Garmon Hatfield.He attended school at Gorin Missouri attaining his GED and served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.He married Bonny Jo Eggleston on January 16 1960 at Winigan Missouri with his brother Reverend Lemuel Hatfield officiating. To this union three children were born. Stanley was a farmer all his life raising cattle and doing row crop farming. He also did some over-the-road truck driving which he very much enjoyed. It was noted that he had traveled in every state in the Continental USA and Canada and Mexico. Stanley was an auctioneer and considered it a special privilege to be able to auction the 4-H and FFA livestock. He enjoyed square dancing water skiing and bird hunting and was an avid and fanatic football and basketball fan. Prior to his becoming ill he and Bonny were able to spend several winters in southern Texas. He was a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church. He served as a district board member of the NRCS for 24 years and also served on the board of the Scotland County Memorial Hospital for six years.He is survived by his wife Bonny Jo a daughter Lorie Cooper and her husband Don of Glendale Arizona two sons: Rodney Hatfield of Arbela Missouri Robie Hatfield and his wife Kimberly of Gilette Wyoming six grandchildren: Nicholas Hatfield and his wife Talia Brandon Hatfield Megan Hatfield Bryce Cooper Desiree Byrne and her husband James Jacob Hatfield and five great grandchildren: Elias Hatfield Ian Hatfield Cooper Byrne Hawke Byrne Colin Hatfield and Tristan Hatfield. Other survivors include two sisters: Izetta Nahra and Rita Derkson two brothers: Lemuel Hatfield and Melvin Hatfield and his wife Kim and a brother-in-law Max Eggleston and his wife Shirley. He was preceded in death by his parents five brothers: Elmo Hatfield Mason Hatfield Leo Hatfield Elmer Hatfield Ross Hatfield three sisters: Erma Hatfield Wanetta Mathes Almeta Mathes and a daughter-in-law Donna Hatfield.Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Memphis Missouri on Thursday August 6 2009 at 10 A.M. with The Honorable E. Richard Webber and Pastor Michael Blaine officiating. Music will be provided by Ann Luther and grandchildren Desiree Byrne and Bryce Cooper. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in rural Scotland County. Casket bearers will be Nicholas Hatfield Brandon Hatfield Jacob Hatfield Bryce Cooper Don Troutman and Wiley Hutchinson. Honorary bearers will be Megan Hatfield and Desiree Byrne.Memorials may be made to the Mt.
