Teresa Sue Fischer, 64, died at her home in Memphis, Missouri on June 18, 2019.
She was born April 4, 1955, at Bloomfield, Iowa, to Henry Walter and Marjorie Maxine Kutzner. She grew up and attended school in Memphis, graduating in 1973 from Scotland County R-1 High School and attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa.
She was united in marriage to Stanley Jenkins in 1973 at Memphis, Missouri and to this marriage was born two daughters: Heather Rachelle who died in infancy and Pamela Jill Jenkins Jensen. She later married Rick Fischer on March 1, 1987, at Memphis.
Teresa loved her career at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis and the many friends she made while performing her role as a housekeeper for twenty-six years. She loved to work in her garden, enjoyed cooking and attending every garage sale she could get Rick to stop at!!! She cherished the many country music shows that she and Rick attended. Teresa realized her greatest delight when she could be with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church of Faith in Memphis.
Left to honor Teresa's memory is her husband, Rick Fischer, of Memphis; her daughter, Pamela Jill Jenkins Jensen and her husband, Wes, of Bloomfield, Iowa; two grandsons: Marcus Jenkins of Kirksville, Missouri; Matthew Jenkins of Bloomfield, Iowa and three great grandchildren: Muriyah, Taeghynn and Hoyt Jenkins. Other survivors include a brother, Mark Kutzner, of Colorado Springs, Colorado and his sons: Chris Phillips and Jeremy Phillips and their families of Colorado; a brother-in-law, Ron Fischer and his wife, Deb, and their three daughters of Kirksville, Missouri and many friends.
Preceding Teresa in death was her grandmother, Neva Henderson; her parents, her infant daughter and numerous aunts, uncles cousins and other extended family. Her body has been cremated.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 starting at 5:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse of Faith Church, Hwy 136 west of Memphis. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Curtis Ebeling officiating.
As an expression of sympathy, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Memphis Funeral Home to help with expenses.
