Toni Rae Sears, 59, of Gorin, Missouri, died Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. She was born October 23, 1954, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Frank U. and Harriette Jane Wagner Bass. Toni grew up in Columbus Junction, Iowa and was a graduate of Columbus Junction High School, Class of 1971. She moved to Gorin, Missouri, in 1991. She married "Bob" Sears on September 4, 1992, at Gorin, Missouri and to this union a son and daughter were born. Toni was a homemaker, loved to cook and was especially known for her pies. She loved camping and puppies and was an avid Nascar fan but Toni realized her greatest pleasures when spending time with her family. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, "Bob," of Gorin; two daughters: Alicia Berry and her husband, Gene; Rebecca Sears and a son, John Robert Sears II, all of Gorin; two grandsons: Alijah Berry and Cody Berry; four step-children: Jeff Brown and his wife Julie of Muscatine, Iowa; Kristina Inskeep and her husband, Shawn, of Knoxville, Iowa; Jennifer Herrmann and her husband, Mike, of Johnston, Iowa and Robert Sears of Newton, Iowa; five brothers: Bill Bass, Boot Bass and his wife, Candy, Fred (Pup) Bass and his wife, Ginger, Clint (Doc) Bass, all of Gorin; Pete Bass of Kahoka, Missouri and two sisters: Leah Colbert of Gorin and Tracey Ross of Muscatine, Iowa. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and many friends. Toni was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jeffery, and two sisters: Barbara Skipton and Veronica Berry.
