Troy Allen Norton, 57, of Downing, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri. Troy was born on March 2, 1963, in Evanston, Illinois, the son of Allen L. and Roberta Faye Wood Norton. He was active in the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Colony and later Kirksville, Missouri. Troy enjoyed video games, fishing, and visiting with family, especially his little brother, Lester. He is survived by his parents, Allen Norton of Orville, California and Roberta Wood of Hurdland, Missouri; wife, Mary Norton of Milton, Iowa; a step-son, Christopher Siegrist of Quincy, Illinois; siblings, Mary Hansell of Canada, Starla Norton of Edina, Missouri, Adam Norton of Honcut, California and Lester Norton of Hurdland, Missouri; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Lena Kennedy and his longtime furry companion, Cricket. Troy was cremated and his family will hold private services at a later date. Doss Funeral Home of Edina, Missouri is assisting the family.
