Obituary

Vida Joanne Jones 39 of Memphis Missouri died Sunday May 20 2012 at her home in Memphis.Joanne was born July 16 1972 in Memphis Missouri to James Morey and Jeanette Mary Birchmier Jones.She grew up in Memphis and attended Scotland County R-1 School. She was an active member of F.F.A. in high school and a graduate of the class of 1991. She attended Indian Hills Community College Centerville Iowa and graduated from the Licensed Practical Nursing program in 1993.She married Randy Triplett on August 15 1998 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Memphis. They later divorced.She was employed at Scotland County Hospital in Memphis working in the general patient care unit and also in obstetrics. She was a neonatal resuscitation provider. Joanne will be remembered not only as a kind and caring person to her friends but more importantly as a very kind and caring nurse.She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Memphis.Joanne loved spending time with relatives and friends and especially loved caring for her dog and her fathers two dogs.She is survived by a half-sister Eileen Kimbrougle and her husband Bob Walker Aurora Illinois a half-brother Jerry J. Jones and his wife Brenda Alexandria Missouri two aunts: Marjorie Koellner Milton Iowa Ruth Taylor Hamilton Illinois four uncles: Richard W. Birchmier and his wife Martha Centerville Iowa Ernest A. Birchmier and his wife Jean Cantril Iowa Dennis H. Birchmier and his wife Carol Ann Bloomfield Iowa Walter Jones Hamilton Illinois nieces nephews numerous cousins and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents grandparents and a half-brother.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday June 9 2012 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Memphis with Father Joseph Hoi officiating. Music will be provided by Joe Fulk vocalist and accompanied by Teresa Cicela.Burial of cremains will follow the service in Oakland Cemetery in Hamilton Illinois. Honorary bearers will be Joyce Abbott Chrissie Burkhiser Ashley Drummond Jennifer Folkner Shelly Girardin Judy Kennedy Mary Jo Kirchner Teresa Kirchner Ashley McBee JanMeeks Tina Flores Melchor Margaret Robeson Vicki Scott Tonya Small Kimberly Starbuck Brenda Steele Olivia Steele Ashley Tharp Jess Tinkle Tammy Wheeler. A visitation with family present to greet relatives and friends will be held on Saturday June 9th at Memphis Funeral Home from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M.
