Corky Forquer 64 of Gorin Missouri died Friday September 28 2007 as the result of injuries received in a house fire. He was born in Wyaconda Clark County Missouri on February 21 1943 to Walter Eugene and Juanita Lucille Murphy Forquer. He was a graduate of the LaHarpe High School in LaHarpe Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army enlisting October 26 1966 and was discharged June 13 1970. He was a combat medic during the Vietnam War and a member of the Burlington V.F.W.. He married DeeAnn Leon Dickenson at Burlington Iowa on September 22 2000. Corky was a route salesman for the Anderson Magazine Distributors in Monmouth Illinois. He retired in 2005 and moved to Gorin Missouri.Survivors include his wife of Gorin Missouri a daughter Cheryl Capps of Burlington Iowa and a son Adam Forquer of Mount Pleasant Iowa four brothers Jim Forquer of Canton Missouri Gary Forquer of Blandinsville Illinois Terry Forquer and Henry Forquer of New London Iowa and a sister Nedra Cassady of Oxford Mississippi and his parents-in-law Beverly and Douglas Dickenson of Burlington Iowa a step-son Patrick Robinson of Burlington Iowa and a step-daughter Megan Lemon of Burlington Iowa and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son.
