Obituary

Fred Wayne Eggleston 89 of Memphis Missouri passed away February 6 2008 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis Missouri where he had been a resident since September 11 2007.The son of Fred Clay and Nellie Merritt Eggleston he was born October 18 1918 in Brock Missouri. He was united in marriage to Ruth Herring on June 15 1940 and to this union a son and daughter was born. He also raised a nephew Phillip Irion. Ruth preceded him in death on November 18 1958. On May 19 1960 he was united in marriage to Lucile Rupe Fenton and she also preceded him in death on May 2 1997.Wayne was a farmer and LP gas delivery man for 171/2 years. He enjoyed gardening fishing and camping. He also enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years.Survivors include his son Max Eggleston and his wife Shirley of Memphis Missouri and a daughter Bonny Hatfield and her husband Stanley of Arbela Missouri one step daughter Shirley Barker of Bloomfield Iowa six grandchildren Rodney Hatfield of Arbela Missouri Lorie Cooper and her husband Don of Glendale Arizona Robie Hatfield and his wife Kim of Gillette Wyoming Kevin Eggleston and his wife Lora of Memphis Missouri Kelley Frazier and her husband Mike of Memphis Missouri Kristi Boyer and her husband Brad of Moberly Missouri thirteen great-grandchildren Nicholas Hatfield and his wife Talia Brandon Hatfield Megan Hatfield Desiree Bryne and her husband Jim Bryce Cooper Jacob Hatfield Shelby Eggleston Shaye Eggleston Kelsey Frazier Kiley Frazier Brett Boyer Lindsey Boyer and Brandon Boyer three great-great-grandchildren Elias Hatfield Ian Hatfield and Copper Bryne.Wayne was preceded in death by his parents his wives a brother Clark Eggleston and his wife Faye a sister Jean Irion and her husband Archie a nephew Phil Irion and a granddaughter-in-law Donna Hatfield. Graveside services will be held in the Brock Cemetery on Saturday February 9 2008 at 1:30 P.M. with Joe Fulk officiating. Casket bearers will be Kevin Eggleston Robie Hatfield Nicholas Hatfield Jacob Hatfield and Brett Boyer. Open visitation will be held after 10:00 A.M. Friday and Saturday until the time of the service.As an expression of sympathy a memorial may be made to the Brock Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to the Memphis Funeral Home 378 Soouth Market Street Memphis Missouri 63555.
