Obituary

William "Bill" Wray Randolph, 89, of Milton, Iowa, died Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, Missouri.

He was born October 30, 1926, in Van Wert, Iowa, to Wray F. and Ethel Alta (Tatman) Randolph.

Bill attended high school in Leon, Iowa, graduating with the class of 1944.

He married Marcella Victoria Hagler on January 20, 1951, at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa, and to this union three children were born. Bill and his wife began their married life together on the family farm in rural Van Buren County and have remained there throughout their lives.

In addition to the operation of his farm, Bill owned and was editor of the Van Buren County Register. After the sale of the Register, he served as Van Buren County Treasurer and Van Buren County Supervisor, retiring at the age of 84. He also was a member of the Keosauqua Rotary Club and the Lions Club. He attended The First Baptist Church at Memphis.

He enjoyed dancing and photography.

Left to honor his memory is a son, Glen Randolph and friend, Jane Kennard, of Milton, Iowa; two daughters: Janell Sullivan and her husband, Steve and Joy Bay and her husband, Steve, all of Hollister, Missouri. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Drew Randolph, Tiffiny Randolph, Bill Randolph, Joe Randolph, Gregory Bay and his wife, Angela, and Michael Bay; four great grandchildren and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife in January, 2003.
